Are your rabbits lovey dovey or not

LittleEskimo

Only asking because I see most peoples buns seem so in love with eachother. Grooming and snuggling and all that kind of thing.

Rosie and Pebbles get on really well but I never see them doing anything lovey with one another :? I barely see them groom eachother, they like to do their own thing and they don't tend to cuddle and snuggle.

Wondering if this is normal or if I just have 2 awkward rabbits

Maybe the do it all at night or something

Mimah and Roger are very much so. My other 2 are singles are just friends sharing the same large bedroom.

When Max had Lola, I don't think I'd seen 2 more in love bunnies.:love:

My 2 are very lovely dovey  it's beautiful to see. They don't really need me at all  I'm just the food provider and cleaner upper :(

Occasionally  usually when no ones looking!... You have to be quick:lol: as soon as food comes into the picture though they literally push to get to the front:roll::lol:

Sometimes... but I get the feeling Tia gets a bit fed up of his hyper behaviour sometimes, and by the time we get home from work some days shes at the door biting to be out and runs away from him  like she's saying thank you hoomin about time! keep him away from me i need some spaces!! then humps his head

They are very much in love tho

My two are very different, and for that reason I definitely didn't expect them to actually fall in love...however 2 years on they are hardly ever apart, they always seem to be doing something together. If one goes to eat, the other one does the same. If one hides in the carrier the other one joins etc. There's a lot of grooming too. They do sometimes argue over food and such  Because Bella tries to steal Boris' share which annoys him a lot...sometimes they sit in opposite corners sulking for a bit  But they're usually cuddled up again within a few minutes.

My two adore each other  although the grooming is a bit one sided, poor ol' Dudley has to do most of the groomings and he specialises in ear washings!

Mine are currently in seperate pens, so not so much

They used to be very lovey covey tho, and hopefully will be again!!!

Mae and Sebastian just used to rub along, I saw a little grooming but normally they just fought over who was going to groom who  Imogen and Sebastian on the other hand are inseparable and Imogen grooms Seb all the time

hmmm... Alfie and Roo, well Alfie is the goofyest, wierdest, cutest, gentle little man ever. He adores, and I mean adores, rosy. If I take rosy out for some reason, he freaks and runs round searching for her desperately. He gives her fuss whenever she demands, he follows her round and he dotes on her day and night. Whereas Rosy... she loves alfie, but she is almost bullying towards him at times and i am honestly waiting for their bond to break most days. Every evening she will chase him round when I am giving them their pellets, she'll pull his fur out, she'll run straight into him all the time she is growling like mad. I don't feel Alfie deserves Roo. Ideally I would seperate them and bond Alfie with Dee but I can't bear to take him away from her PLUS we can't afford another rabbit for roo. Alfie is too good for her, I'd much rather he was with a rabbit who doesn't bully him!:(

Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean they aren't close.
I rarely see mine snuggling and grooming each other, but I know they're like it when I'm not around. Whenever I go out I think they get exited about food or going in the grassy run so they stop paying each other any attention. It's only after hours of me being out there that they all flop down together. I was worried about it a little while ago so borrowed an interval camera from work, it showed that they do spend a lot of time grooming etc, they just seem to prefer a little privacy to do it in. :)

Hmm I suppose your right lol

They do like having each other around, I know that. They will sometimes follow eachother and I have seen them groom eachother...occasionally  Rosie has become so much more gentle and friendly though. Before, whenever I tried to stroke her, I got grunts and paws but since getting Pebbles she has really relaxed and everything :)

Freddie and Daphne groom each other and copy one another ie if one starts eating or goes outside the other does but I wouldn't say they are lovey-dovey. They were when they were babies but now they like their own space. Having said that it's rare to find say one in the shed and the other in the run, they tend to occupy the same space but doing their own thing if you know what I mean. They do snuggle up from time to time but not like when they were little, they were in unison until they reached their teens and the hormones kicked in. Now they seem quite happy to be laid at opposite ends of the run/shed for a lot of the day.

Mine are quite lovey dovey. They like to groom each other and when they're out they'll always choose to lie right next to each other. Harriet is quite cool about it (even though she is always pushing her head under his for a lick) but Alfie is so stupidly in love  He's quite an aggressive boy but he'll let her do whatever she likes. She's definitely the boss and he doesn't mind one bit, bless him. They both seem rather indifferent to us  That's fine though, I know they're happy and they love us in their own way (they will fight for headrubs, and will allow a bit of a fuss now and again). Jessie is single at the moment, but loves snuggles from us :D We'll be attempting to bond all three soon though, so I'm preparing for her to develop the same indifference as Harriet and Alfie, haha.

one of our rabbits is a grumpy cow so she doesnt socialise

but the other girl rabbit we have had a lovely relationship with George, as soon as he would come out his hutch to go in the garden he'd hop over to her hutch and rub noses with her and if she was in her run in the garden he'd go sit by it and eat grass and then at the end of the day he'd go back to his batchelor pad :lol:

My lionheads aren't always lovey dovey and it took several months before their relationship grew to that stage. It's like humans, relationships don't just happen, they grow.

It took a month or so before Mylo would groom Barnaby but now she does it every day  They also follow each other everywhere (usually when one of us leaves the room in the hope of there being food!) and cuddle up together all day. I don't think there's been any negativity since the day they met  Makes us so happy to see!

My two are when they wanna be. Sam tends to lick Poppy once and then licks himself 5 times and carries on like that.. But they will snuggle together during the day.

Oooh I am so desperate that floppy and his new 'girly' get on together.. I'd be so happy!!,!
