Nightmare pooper and wee-er

Sylvester, our male rabbit, basically trashes everywhere he goes. They live outside and, once in a while, he will use the litter tray. 9 times out of 10 however he just wees anywhere in the cage.

What are you supposed to do? He makes life so hard and I feel sorry for the female bun having to live in such horrible conditions!

How is his cage set up? What areas does he go in?

Are there other rabbits around? Any predators?

What have you tried to try and litter train him?

I haven't really tried anything, as such. They have free range of a 80ft square garden, with a hutch to return, and in which I put them at night. The hutch has no run, is 2 ft by 5ft.

I think he is around 1-2 years (a rescue)
