Please join me and the growing numbers of concerned people who are urging South Derbyshire District Council to reject the application to build a rabbit factory farm.
In September of this year, Mr and Mrs Dowd submitted an application to build a rabbit factory farm in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. Confining these normally gentle animals to cages denies them everything that is natural and important to them, such as foraging for food and even jumping. The proposed farm would house up to 260 breeding does at the end of three years, each of whom would be forced to produce up to 52 kittens a year.
