Baby Rabbits, Macclesfield REHOMED

RSPCA Macclesfield

Warren Scout
Update 23/12 - One female rehomed, Two reserved & Will relist the other pair on their own.

These five beautiful babies were dumped at a service station at just a few weeks old. Understandably they are of a nervous disposition, but we are also questioning whether or not there may be wildie rabbit in their genes somewhere as they are a little bit crazy, and aren't particularly pleased about being kept in a hutch & run. As such, we are looking for a special person to open up their homes to one or two of these babies (If one, must be rehomed to live with another rabbit) with a large space for them to play, time to work with them so that they learn to trust, and an understanding that they may never be cuddley bunnies. They are too young at present to neuter and microchip, but are vaccinated and will be done once old enough.

Please contact Rspca Macclesfield on 01625 669620 or enquiries@rspca-macclesfield.org.uk for more information.

we have small 'colony' of 3 wildies and a domestic - these are true wildies and only one was actually hand reared.

They live happily in a 10ft by 8ft by 6ft tall aviary with lots of tunnels and ramps and levels -and a bale of hay liberally spread around in heaps.

Two of the three come out onto the lawn when the gate is left open for them and then go in again when ready . .

Just in case anyone could consider creating this sort of set up and taking them on as a group . .

we had them all neutered (two males and the female - and the female domestic).

However it is tricker so best to ensure a very very good vet - the total lack of any fat on them makes the stitching etc trickier. also aneasthetic has to be very carefully dosed.

Thank You.

Thanks Parsnipbun, We aren't sure that there is actually wildie in them yet - its just that their behaviour is a little un-domestic-baby-like! Thank you for the advice though
