  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

for bluebell.lilly and daisy! they are 7 and a half months and daisy and blue started having a squabble yesturday:roll: thankfully ive just saved enough but vibes would be much appreciated. Honey had a bad time when she got done and im very nervous! ive got an indoor cage to keep them confined for a day or so with a snugglesafe and blankets. :?

So worrying isn't it. I had my bun spayed on Tuesday just gone and she's 7 months, she was back to eating everything in sight by the next morning! She's been absolutely fine although she's got some swelling around her wound so the vets want to check it again on Monday. My sister also had her two done a few months ago and they had no problems. Good luck, hope it goes well for them.

I had my 4.5yr old bunny spayed on Tuesday and she has been fine, she didn't eat for the first day so had to take her back to the vets and had to syringe feed her for a few days and give quite a bit of painkillers etc throughout the day and keep her in but she is absolutely fine now, eating normally and back to herself, I was so nervous as she is middle aged but she did great.
I am sure your bunnies will be fine :) x
