Think they approve :)

They were running mad all over it earlier lol i

They were like "spaaaaace! Weeeeee!"

Now they are chilling in their igloo (get it) :p

Looks fab. I love how new set ups are so clean and today!!
What I would say is watch out for bumblefoot on the wire base. Rats prefer flat surfaces underfoot. Props cover with lino or some is actually removable altogether.
Ferplast shelves are great and easy to clean

Ah yes thanks for that I was wondering what to cover it with Lino is a good suggestion, I clean the buns every other day so I'll do the ratties then too so hopefully I can keep it as clean as possible I have hibiscrub to clean everything with as well

Hum.... Would vet bed work? As I can take it out and pop it in the machine, I know they will put wholes in it the buns do too

I was going to suggest fleece, but i bet vet bed would work too:thumb:
Id love to use fleece/vetbed for the mice but theyre manky pooheads:lol:

My rats would have loved eating the vetbed!!

I had ecopetbed cardboard squares or carefresh or something similar on the bottom then I had plastic shelves and hammocks
Hammocks I washed and I wiped over shelves regularly

All the cardboard wood or other bits would fall through the holes did the plastic shelves come with yours? If not where did you get them?

I can only think of using strips of kitchen towel for now until I can come up with something else if you think vet bed won't work lol

Looks great! Lots of people take out the shelves completely. There's no need to have the bottom one in at all, not sure why they include it tbh. There's a few examples in this thread http://www.fancy-rats.co.uk/community/viewtopic.php?f=127&t=116034&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=30

Toy/furniture ideas next that are cheap/free:-
Wooden wine racks plastikoted
Hanging basket lined with old towel
Hammocks made from tea towels
Cardboard boxes (assorted sizes)
Eggbox filled with shredded paper and treats
Ratty pinatas http://www.dapper.com.au/toys.htm#pinata
Old bed sheet cut into long, fairly thick strips than plaited to make a rope
Small plastic storage boxes from the pound shop secured using bolts, wingnuts and penny washers

Toy/furniture ideas next that are not cheap/free:-
Stuff such as sputniks from here http://www.equinecaninefeline.com/catalog/small-animals-rats-houses-c-23_106_152.html (discount code ANIMAL for 10% off)
Litter tray - I find this essentail for hygiene
Better value hammocks here http://www.bettysbeds.com/ and here http://www.ratpad.co.uk/
Large wheel e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0006IK0...de=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B0006IK0PQ my girls love them

Hope that's helpful. These are things my guys love and use regularly.
