Wise Old Thumper
Just wanted to share that Starbuck, despite all his recent and ongoing problems with his abscess and facial nerve troubles, is being such a little trooper.
He normally hates being picked up, hates with a passion a syringe being put in his mouth and is proficient in being able to hide his mouth away, squirming and tucking his mouth away, turning his head away, putting his paws up in front of his mouth, pawing the syringe away, generally squirming and fussing because he finds it so awful.
At the moment he is having to have 3 lots of syringe meds a day plus one injection, at least for the next 4-6 weeks until he has surgery.
Well, this morning, without even having to be picked up, he lifted his mouth up for the 2 morning syringes and drank both almost-full syringes, without fuss, without being picked up, without spilling it or anything!!! WHAT A TROOPER!!
I love him so much!
He's always been a sensitive little soul, being deaf and a little nervous, but wow, he is really doing us proud at the moment, bless him
