You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Bunny not eating help!

Dover

New Kit
Hi,

I got back from my holiday after leaving my housemates looking after her. She was fine when I went away.
I got back. They said she has been fine, got in to her food one day and spilt it all over, so must of had an appetite.

Now she isn't eating. Her bowl is full. I gave her some treats she got excited but only eat a
little. I gave her a bit of apple, got excited again, only eat a little. The same with a banana which is one of her favourites. I'm very worried. She feels quite boney.

She keeps cuddling me and nudging me, and lying on my bed which she did when she was I'll before.
Last time she had spurs on her teeth, so I changed her food. There has been no bleeding. I'm not sure if she is drinking.

Please help.
Thanks

Maybe try making some porridge oats with warm water - that's what we did with Mo.

If that doesn't help take her straight to the vets - not trying to scare you but it could be nothing or something serious.

Let us know what happens *HUGS & HEALING VIBES* x

If she is NOT eating voluntarily on her own, she needs to see a vet urgently, sooner, rather than later - this evening ideally - sorry to be so short, but a rabbit that isn't eating is a rabbit who is very poorly.

I suspect that her teeth may be causing her problems again. She is probably wanting to eat but cant because her mouth hurts. I would call your Vet now and get your Rabbit seen by a Vet this afternoon/evening. The fact that you say she feels boney indicates the problem may have been developing for some time. It is very important that you do not leave it any longer

Good luck :)

She has eaten some more banana and pooed a little. Ive got an oppointment first thing in the morning.
Poor little grumpy bunny.

Thanks for the swift replies!
