Your special bun.

Now what makes your bun or buns so special? What is it about them that makes you love them so much?

For me it was that Moses and Watson came into my life when things were very hard for me. I had lost my dad to cancer a few months before and was not coping at all. Losing both my parents to cancer at the age of 31 was just too much for me to bear.

I've been wanting bunnies for so long and had to go without them for 6 years, ever since relocating to the UK. Our landlord initially kept saying no but having lived at the place for years she finally yielded and I went and got Moses that very same day and Watson 2 months later.
The change in me was almost instant. I started smiling more, I was singing Moses's name and I just loved having cuddles with him. Whenever I had times things did get bad, my husband would tell me to go sit with the bunnies as somehow they always made things better. Watson tickling my face with her whiskers, Moses by being a big fat piggy and even trying my toes to see if they were food.

My husband always used to laugh at me and my desire for bunnies. Although he still doesn't get why I am so crazy about them, he can see the positive effect they have and they have regularly made him burst out laughing too.
I have to admit I got a more special bond with Moses than Watson, probably because Moses allows me to stroke him which Watson doesn't like and because he looks so much like my beloved Fizzgig, who I lost 9 years ago and still miss every day.

He just has the cutest face and people can't help but fall in love with him. Our vet exclaimed what a gorgeous bun he was as soon as she saw him come out of the carrier and even my husbands gran, who is used to eating them so doesnt get the whole idea of house rabbits, fell for his charms.

My life has gotten so much better since Moses and Watson have come into my life. I am wishing with all my heart they get to live to be 10 years at least as I cannot imagine my life without them.

So what makes your bun special?

Lovely story :)

My Kermit was my special one....he just was a star. Then when he passed I really missed him so much and felt empty without a bunny, so I believe he made me see Herbie & Inca on here and help them too :) Now Herbie & Inca make me smile as well as my BB Kermit x

Gus just seemed to love life mainly
and food ...
he was always buzzing around excited, always socialising with us, hopping up on the sofa, jumping up on the bed and hopping around me when I was trying to lie in on the weekends, getting up to all sorts of mischief

and just basically had a heart of gold

the bond me and my girlfriend had with him was so strong, he would often come and put his chin on your shoulder looking for cuddles
or just jump up on your chest and sit purring whilst you stroked him like a cat

he had gorgeous eyes and you felt like you could see into his soul with any expression he made

he was quite simply one of the most remarkable animals I've ever encountered and I'm still shocked with just how much personality a rabbit can have

They are so bright and cheerful, ready to say hello, eager for any food on offer, love having fun chasing around, proud to be part of your family, loving, they have such good hearts and so much more. All this without making a sound, except an occasional thump!

Sebastian is my heart bunny, I cant describe the love I have for him  he was my first ever pet (of my own) and he came into my life when I was quite poorly. He cheered me up when I was down, without me needing to use too much energy.
I miss him terribly now he is outside, but it is MUCH better for him, and he gets a friend :thumb: if I need cheering up I can go outside and I'll be instantly greeted by my pair and it warms my heart  I can't explain how much I love him (and Imogen ofcourse!)
