Rabbit Awareness Week - BinKy Hunt Scavenger Hunt You Can Play In Your OWN Local Area

To celebrate the end of Rabbit Awareness Week, Fairly Beloved Rabbit Care are running a scavenger hunt - "Binky Hunt".

We've designed this fundraising event so anyone can play in their local area, using our facebook page to post your findings during the hunt. It should be LOADS of fun, and could make a great activity for a group of friends or family, using Facebook to bring everyone together during the hunt regardless of where you are in the country.

All the items in Binky Hunt are focussed on Rabbit Awareness too.

The Binky Hunt will start on Saturday 22nd September 2012, 12:00 BST, but it is NOT a race (although there are some bonus points for first returned items). Entries will close at 19:00 BST, so you will get 7 hours to play the game!

The team with the highest score wins! It's that simple, and will be loads of fun. Full Game Rules can be found here.

The Prize

For the winning team, we have a Two Night Stay for Two at a Loch Lomond Hotel, with full Scottish Breakfast on both days! If your team has more than two people you can upgrade your prize to a family, triple or quad room at very reasonable rates! For more information see Prize terms & conditions.

You must register in advance to play - registration closes at Friday 21st September 2012, 23:59 BST

Enter your team today for a chance to win! Teams need to have two or more members, and registration is only £5 per team.

Simply give us a name for your team, tell us the Facebook Name that your game posts will be made under and buy your registration today. We will use your Paypal email address to send you the Scavenger list when the game begins at 12:00 BST on 22nd September!

Following feedback from people who could not participate in our Binky Hunt due to other commitments we have made a couple of amendments to our competition rules.

To give more people an opportunity to join in, we've changed the starting time on Saturday to 10:00 BST, and you will now have until Sunday 23rd September at 18:00BST to complete the scanvenger hunt.

We've also removed the bonus points for completing first, in order to make it fairer.

we really need your help to drum up some support for this. We think it will be a lot of fun, and have invested a lot of time and money in it. So far, not enough people have registered to make the competition viable.

Visit your local pet store/supplies store. We want you to demonstrate in a photograph that nuggets are better than muesli. Use your artistic flair to think about the best way to do this.
Take a photo inside the store.
Post your photo on the FBRC Facebook page & include the store name & location in the comments.

You can play at anytime during the weekend. Register now and you'll receive all the scavenger items by email on Saturday morning just before 10am!

I have read through all the info and the rules on your site and am embarrassed to say I didn't really understand much of it

I hope you don't mind me asking but could you do an idiots guide to how it works

No worries.

1. Register to play now, paying your £5 registration fee via Paypal link on our website
2. On Saturday morning you'll receive an email with the scavenger list
3. Throughout the weekend, find the items on the list in your local area (or where ever you are spending time)
4. Take photos of your team with the items on the scavenger list
5. Post the photos to our Facebook page
6. We award points for all the photos
7. Team with the highest points wins

Unfortunately, due to a significant lack of participants, we do not feel it would be viable to run Binky Hunt as a competition. We are therefore withdrawing the competition. We still have the prize available and will consider an alternative fundraiser competition in the near future.

Registration fees for the few people who did register have now been refunded.

However, we still think that Binky Hunt could be an excellent piece of family fun, so have decided to publish the game for you to play, at any time.
