    Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

    You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

    Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

My friend is looking for a vet to neuter her bunnies in Leeds, can anyone recommend a reasonably priced vet for neuter in the Leeds area?

Brighouse (okay so not in Leeds but not too far away) and vets4pets are pretty cheap but you'll have to email and check, I've had a neuter and spay at both vets and they came to the same ammount but ones cheaper for spays and ones cheaper for neuters if you're not taking a female and male in so yeah I'd email a few places and see

Yep Brighouse Veterinary centre neuter for about £45 :wave:

Hey guys - I'm the OP's friend =)

After calling round places I have finally found a good price! In Wakefield, which isn't too far away £45 to neuter a male bunny, where my local vets quoted £100, charges £45 per bun for combined vac though... 0.o;;

Croft House in Bately were really good for vaccination £23.75 for combined, but neutering quote was £101!!

Is this a good rabbit-savvy vet (ie an exotics specialist)?

They told me all the same stuff as everywhere else I called. They're all fully qualified (she did say that it was only £45 because it was a promotion for September)

Reviews are good online and lots of people have mentions vets4pets practices being good.

Not cheap for spays/neuters, but Tweed House in Pudsey/Yeadon do a vac for life, which I think is £80-£85 now but covers all their boosters forever.

That's a reallyt good offer. Perhaps it will encourage more people to neuter.

They have a vet thats very rabbit savvy thats why i moved from Abbey House. Trudy works locum for Croft and also works at Abbey but at Kippax which is too far for me. She was amazing when Twinkle had a tumour. I had them both neutered at vets4pets at wakefield but that was through the rescue so dont know what the cost would have been.

I really like the 2 main vets at Croft, they listen before to you before they ask questions, and they know how to pick up a rabbit!
