Nobivac combined vaccination - bald patch

Jerseylotte

Warren Scout
Hi all,

Quick question, has anyone else had a bun develop a bald patch at the site of a Nobivac combined vaccine injection?

My male mini rex has been quieter and I noticed today (~two weeks since vaccination) a one pence piece sized bald patch at the nape of his neck where the injection was administered.

There is no broken skin, itching, scaleyness etc. Just bare hairless skin.

Obviously I'm going to call my vet to let them know (they thought I was strange for going on and on about not using certain combined vaccs!!!)

:)

Don't worry. This can occur within the two weeks following vaccination. The hairless patch can be up to 2cm diameter and sometimes there may be a transient swelling too.
