We're currently fostering a bun who was going to be put down unless a home was found for him. He's an 18 month old unneutered male. He's currently living in a puppy pen upstairs which is double meshed so he and Chaplin cannot get to each other. At first Chaplin seemed a little aggressive towards him but she soon calmed down and he really doesn't seem to care.
Now, whenever she can't be with us she goes upstairs and lies next to his pen. I assume this can only be a good sign? We still might not be able to keep him and will have to convince our housemates, and we're getting him neutered so whether we keep him or not it'll be easier.
If we keep him how long do you think it will take for him to settle down hormone wise? We don't even know what he would be like with her now, she's spayed obviously! But I've read they'll probably try and hump females anyway, regardless of whether or not they're spayed. Would he be more inclined to be aggressive or will he just pester her?
Edit: one last note, the new bun (Seeley) has lived with 3 females g pigs his whole life.
