Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

6months to neuter in Italy??

My babies need the chop so we don't have any extra babies and also for health etc. They are 12 weeks old and i've had to separate them this week which they are really sad about. I live in Italy now and they won't neuter any rabbits under the age of 6 months, is this too long to keep them separated? I know there isn't really any other option but they look so confused and lonely (they are brother and sister). Any tips or advice to cheer them up or any knowledge on neutering would be greatly appreciated :D

I had to split a brother and sister up at 12 weeks, she missed him very much, he managed. I wanted to wait until the girl was about 6 months before I had her neutered so when the time came round they both went for their ops on the same day. After Bella had her stitches removed I then put them together in a run and after a little bit of chasing by him they were fine. They are still very happy, so good luck with your two.
