Alpha Buck
Hi all,
I lost Tilly to EC last winter and soon after Milo started with eye rolling, Head Tilt , he had the 28 day dose of panacur as did my other rabbit Marley,(who had and still has no symptoms) Milo is much better now but has been left with incontinence, I have to keep an eye on his rear end as it's often wet and just lately his poo's are very loose.
My rabbits have a very large Happy Hutch which is attached to another large hutch and run, and I am starting to worry now the winter months are ahead of us because although he has a huge living area he no longer goes up the ramps to go inside his hutch, he stays on the lower level, which is on the concrete, and although does have a cover, the concrete still gets wet, it does have a raised platform area which has a large litter tray in, my concerns are that he will be too cold and wet because of the incontinence.
I could close him off into the top part of the hutch, but that wouldn't be fair on Marley . It is also very difficult to get hold of him as his runs are very low (but big) and makes it very difficult for me as he tries to evade me (not good on my back).
I don't know what would be best, (maybe a smaller set up)?
If anyone has any ideas for me I would be very grateful, I also would like some advice on his feeding to help with his loose poos, should I feed less fresh food and less pellets and feed more Hay ? (they always have a fresh supply).
Any help would be fantastic,
Thanks in advance
