Hay in run?

Morning all :wave: Iv noticed that most of u seem to have hay in ur runs, but I was just wondering what happens if it gets rained on? Do u have to throw it out and replace it all the time? I was thinking it'd be nice to get some kind of wooden trough or cart type thing to put hay in but it's gonna get wet!

i wonder if they have covers over top or not?

Iv seen diff ways but most seem to not be covered. I really like the idea of the runaround hay tubes (a homemade version!) but just think any rain will get to it and make it wet. I will prob end up putting some in a shelter or something but I just wondered how it works for people as iv noticed most have hay in the runs! Keep having ideas for things I want to put in the run, forgetting that it's 8x6ft not 80x60ft!! :lol:
