  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Vibes for Lilly U/D She's gone.

Lil & Ron's Mum

Warren Scout
Had to take our Lilly to the emergency vets 13 miles away which covers our (out of hours).
She was freezing cold and lathargic.
I rang at 3.45am no improvement. They couldn't raise her temp, and she was still floppy.
I have to do a 13.5 hr shift today on 3 hrs sleep, my head is going to be all over the place, and they will be sick of me phoning.
I'm glad my hubby finishes early incase she can come home, I hope she can!
Come on Lilly, you can do it, you have fought off every illness known to bunny.

Sorry I've not been on.
Thankyou every one for your support.
Richard rang several times, and the last time he rang they said she was eating a little on her own. Thought she was coming home
Then he got a phone call at 10.20, she had a massive seizure and they tried to resusitate her, but she didn't make it.
It was Richard's birthday the following day (fri) he brought her home so that she could be there while he opened his present and card that she bought him. He said that there was no way she was missing that.
Then we took her to the crem, was being really brave until I saw her in the chapel of rest.
And she came back home with us that Afternoon.
We are so heart broken, she was like a sticky bogey, you couldn't do anything with out her been involved.
Miss you lots chicken pie. Binky free. Love you. xx
