I was in Pets at home - Sealand Road, Chester at lunchtime today and there is a sign up in the Adoption section - 2 year old dwarf lop named Honey needs a home, special needs, ask member of staff. I asked and spoke to Leanne who brought Honey out from the back, she's been there 4 months ???? and was brought in by a lady who said she could no longer look after her. Honey was really really skinny and bony and was taken to the vets and tested for various things and also vaccinated etc. After an x-ray it was found that her lower back has a bad break in it - no explanation from owner as to how it has happened. Honey is on metacam daily and can run about but is apparently incontinent and needs washes. She was very clean today and has put on weight. She is such a friendly, gentle and loving little soul and needs a home without young children really as possibly she was dropped??!! Can anyone help as being stuck in the store is not ideal for her although she does get attention and vet care at the moment.
