Some of you may remember the chins chewed through the ice pod and gel oozed out but it was safe.

Now I have been using a tough thick ice pack and somehow it has a little puncture. (BINNED NOW). It leaked all over the bottom of the chins hutch. They are all fine and I have completely scrubbed everything, their hutch, floor and freezer.

Surely if it is intended for people the contents cant be toxic, incase a child or someone broke it? Anyone know ?

Does it say on the package. If it wasn't safe it should say "not for consumption call**** if consumed.

I checked mine I have and it says non-toxic. Are the ones from U.S. different from the ones in the UK?? Dumb question but I just aint sure.

Thanks, I saw that one but its not the same type.

The ice pack was blank, not a thing written on it.

The chinchillas are fine and never ever getting another ice pack. I have marble for them now.

I'd just use water bottles from now on, easier to chew but at least its just water!
