.....is ok for rabbits?

Poppy is having trouble eating & I thought I may try her with some baby food. I seem to remember only certain kinds are suitable, those with dairy I assume should be avoided?

You can get it in most supermarkets, I've bought them from both Morrisons and Sainsbury's (for when Scarlet's having a dental

Hipp Organic - they do pouches which are just pureed fruits and they do little pots of pureed mixed vegetables too, hopefully they'd be tasty enough to encourage bunny to eat something :) I grind up a couple of Stephen's pellets and mix it in too.

Obviously avoid anything with dairy or meat
But any mixed vegetables, mixed fruits etc should be OK and pots with ground rice are OK too so I've heard but have never tried them myself.

Personally I try to avoid using baby food, opting for a feed specifically designed to meet the requirements of a Rabbit eg Critical Care

Baby food has very little fibre so whilst using it as a last resort or mixed in with CC is OK I would not want to go OTT on it as it could cause gut dysbiosis

If you do want to use it then these are some that are suitable:

Thank you everyone.

The reason I want to try baby food is because she's clearly hungry (keeps trying to eat), but is having dental problems so cant. It will just be a little further option for her, I hate the thought that he is hungry. She's had painkiller, metaclop & antibiotics this morn so hoping they will kick-in soon.

FHB recommended to us that we mix critical care with dried baby food (she recommended an apple and oats type one) I wasn't too sure about that but FHB ought to know.

Ok, I got the hibb vegetable one.

Really stupid question, but if I do give her a bit does it need to be heated then cooled or is it ok straight from the jar?
