Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Bunny with Bald patch?

Ariana

Young Bun
My black bunny has always been VERY fluffy, and is now four months old. Recently her and our male bun staged an escape attempt and therefore we are presuming she is more than likely pregnant ( :( ) ... we are preparing for the accidental kits and have separated the two buns into different rooms now not just hutches so it'll never happen again!

Yesterday, I noticed that her fur was thinner in a small patch on her back, and today my friend informs me that she has a very small bald patch there. I won't be able to see the extent of the problem (or get photos) until tomorrow, but I wondered if there are any explanations for this and whether i should get her to a vet? She is eating, pooing and hopping about as usual, and seem perfectly healthy other than the small area where the hair is thinning! I also checked, and there's no signs of white dandruff, and her injections were 6 (mix.) and 4 (VHD) weeks ago now... so those can't be the issue.

Any advice is appreciated!
