Katastrophe
Young Bun
Daft thing I am, but look at him...
I was driving home this evening and saw him lying in the road, I thought he was dead but as I drove past he tried to sit up and run away. I turned round and went back for him, poor bun was trying to drag himself out the road every time a car came past but his back legs won't move so he was just turning round on the floor. Couldn't leave him there so like a narner I was stood waving cars to go round him 'til it was clear and then picked him up with plastic sheeting. I lay him on it in the back of my car which is where the pic came from but he had other ideas. He only looks young and is so alert otherwise.
Poor thing though I didn't know rabbits in pain could make such a hideous noise - obviously when I picked him up he was terrified and started squealing.
We're taking him to the vets at 9 as the vet is out til then...I've not got much hope at all because he's obviously got spinal damage, but he's just such a cutie. Couldn't leave him to get run over or eaten and die on the road. At the moment he's in the car though 'cos my little Alfie hasn't had his jabs.
