Good Morning All.
Its been a while since I posted on here. Pip & Rusty are doing very well.
I have a gorgeous bonded pair of Rabbits, Pip & Rusty. Both are in good health, and vaccinated up to date. They are 2 and a bit years old, and live outdoors, but have had spells inside at times and adapted quite well. They are very good and use their litter tray 90% of the time.
Unfortunately my circumstances have changed, my sister is going to University in October and she helps me with the care of the rabbits. I have to attend exhibitions with work for a few days at a time, and unfortunately when colleagues of mine have left, due to the economic climate they have not been replaced and I am now expected to attend lots of these.
I therefore am not at home enough to ensure the rabbits are cared for properly, and as of October my sister won’t be able to help me out (as I am often away 2-3 days at a time). I am devastated to have to consider the option of finding them a new home, but it’s in their best interests.
Please please I don’t want anybody to post and make me feel any worse than I already do. They are my babies, especially Pip who I still remember being the size of my hand when we got her. But I have to put my own feelings aside and think about what is best for them. I could maybe get a neighbour to come n feed them but that’s not ideal, I wouldn’t be happy leaving them for so long without proper care and I cant afford the time or expense of driving an hour to my boarding place everytime I am away with work or there until late (sometimes out from 8am till 12pm! – never was a problem with my sister about!).
I am based in North London, but am willing to travel anywhere for the right Rescue/Rehoming Centre to take them in, as I love them to bits and only the best will suffice
So I just wondered if anybody can advise on what places are good, and if there is a waiting list etc. I am happy to make a donation, and will continue to support the Rescue buying xmas cards, odd donations here n there thereafter etc too, plus will donate their hutch & toys etc.
Alternatively (huge shot in the dark!) if any bunny lovers on here were interested on taking them on, then I would consider that also, but obviously checks would be made.
Thank you for taking the time to read this xxxxxxxxx
