How to make friends with my bunny

Misty is gorgeous and has a lovely nature, she's calm when I hold her and will sit on my lap on the sofa, but when I open the hutch she thumps and hides from me. How can I gain her trust and become 'friends' with her rather than someone she tolerates?

Gaining a bunny's trust takes time and you have to show her that you are trustworthy. Thumping and hiding are normal rabbit responses to someone approaching their territory. So perhaps it's better to become her friend outside of her private space.

I agree, buns are naturally nosey so just sit quietly with some treats and he will come to you very quickly
