I hate that feeling...

... of knowing you're letting down a bunny who wants to live, but no one seems to be able to offer anything that may extend their life :( Especially when you feel the problem shouldn't be terminal.

Worth trying Ben - Colne Valley Colchester practice? :?

Maybe ask if you can speak to him on the phone initially to see whether he thinks he could be of help given what others have said/what your experience tells you....

Thanks guys. Tinsel, I have spoken with Faye, in great depth, from All Creatures (where our specialist referrals go) and also Marie Kubiak from here, but more briefly. Both agreed with each other.

It's 'only' teeth, but they are crippling him :(

I lose a lot of bunnies, but normally they come here and get more life than they would anywhere else. Now I'm facing losing one who was born here and that's not how it's supposed to be. THEY are supposed to live until old age, and they want to, he SO wants to. But I can't help him. My heart is being torn apart and obviously I have to do whatever is best for him, but when I make that decision, whilst it will still be 'easy', as always, it just feels like my feet are going to be pulled out from me. 8 bunnies here form solid foundations under my feet, and he is one of them.

So very sorry. I had a similarly tough decision with Brock. He was so lively and seemed so cheerful, even on his last morning. As soon as the vet gave him his GA she could see how awful his teeth were, though, and said the only kind thing to do was to let him go while he was under. It's really sad when it's such a dearly loved bun as yours clearly is too, though.....

I so wish there was something I could do, a solution I could offer, anything to ease your and his pain

(((HUGS))) and vibes xxxxxxxxxxx

Just want to add extra ((((((hugs)))))))). I am so sorry.
Why do bunny teeth have to be so complicated?

Thanks guys. He's currently tucking into apple leaves. He only cares about now which is what I need to do too.
