Dear RU'ers, please meet Gwen:
I am posting on behalf of my lovely friend (I didn't really know where to post this).
Gwen is my lovely bunny mad friend's single lady. She is a little bit fiesty but is in desperate need of a husbun.
Her husbun would need to be medium-large and lop eared (as she has a bit of a thing about sticky up ears bless her) and able to cope with a wifey-bun with a bit of bunitude. He would need to be at least 1-2 years old.
My friend is a fosterer for RSPCA Derby and has several bunnies who she cares for beautifully, in bonded pairs and Gwen is the only singleton, bless her.
Gwen is starting to feel lonely by herself and is trying to cuddle up to other bunnies which my friend owns and cares for, but as they are already bonded, their wifey-buns are not very happy to have their husbuns flirting with another lady! She has the best of both worlds, living both in and outdoors and Gwen is very active, she participates in bunny agility and enjoys exploring the garden in a harness (yes I know lots of people don't approve of harnesses but Gwen actually enjoys it). She has several large runs for her different bunny groups, large hutches, a bunny shed and spends lots of time with her rabbits both indoors and out to socialise and look after them.
I am in Leicester and could travel for about an hour or so to meet up with someone if we find a suitable husbun and could arrange a bunny run.
She has tried local rescues and some slightly further away (RSPCA Chesterfield, Derby, BARC) and had a look on rabbitrehome.org.uk but has been turned down as there are none suitable/ she is too far away.
She is desperate to find Gwen a husbun so she can settle down and be happy. Obviously all her bunnies are vaccinated and whilst she does have a couple of Conti's who haven't yet been neutered (too young) they are going to have the snip shortly and the rest are all neutered and spayed. She would be happy to have a home check if required, although as a fosterer for RSPCA Derby she may not need one? Of course that is up to the individual rescues.
She will be happy for me to pass her details on to rescues if there is a suitable little boy out there for Gwennie. Please help if you can!!
