Run roof help please?

Part of my buns' hutch-run-run setup is one of these:

If I get something like this:

... make holes in the corners and tie it to the run roof, will it sag under the weight of the rain?

Does anyone have any other suggestions that aren't too expensive? I currently use tarp but woke up to a worryingly squashed run with a big puddle on top after the recent crazy rain. The buns go in their attached hutch at night, so at the moment I'm taking the tarp off overnight but it's not ideal.

I have that on my runs but my runs a wooden I have it screwed on sloping down towards the back of the run into a gutter then it runs into a water butt :)

Unfortunately If you try to tie it, it will rattle in the wind and shatter.
If you could make a wooden frame to fix it to, that would be better:thumb:

Hmm I did wonder. Then I was thinking that if I was making a frame I might as well stretch a tarp or something similar over that instead. But then how would I fix it to the metal run? I am going round in circles here!!

:?

Hmm, it's going to be tricky cos anything fixed will risk the whole run being blown over as they are so light:shock:
Can you get hold of any of that blue water piping?

If so, bend that into hoops over your run (drive the ends of it into the ground to hold it in place and add one long piece across the top of all the hoops to brace it all together) and stretch your tarp as tight as possible over that. It'll look like a polytunnel, but as it won't be fixed to the run, should the winds pick up only the tunnel will blow down.

I hope you get what I mean, If not I'll knock one up tomorrow and take pics:thumb:

scroll to the bottom and you will see what I mean :D:D

Just one warning for you, if you stretch the tarpaulin over something flat too tightly it will tear. It happened to mine when we got lots of rain and the puddle was too heavy and just ripped straight down the middle. Not ideal as my bunnies are in soil

I had the tarpaulin problem, so what I've changed my roof run cover to is conservatory roofing panels - you can buy them at wickes and the investment is worth while as in winter they will act as insulation. Something like this: http://www.wickes.co.uk/invt/246000 they come in different sizes and in double or triple thickness.
