Gripe Water u/d got infacol instead - need dose please

bunny babe

Wise Old Thumper
Hi
Just spoke to my vet and he’s told me that my bunny has gas, I asked if gripe water was ok to try and he said yes but I forget to ask how much I should give, can anyone please advise me what would be an ok dose.

I give 1ml/Kg, repeat doses can be given every 3-4 hours if necessary.

I find Gripe Water to be much better than Infacol and it has antispasmodic properties too, at least the Woodwards one does. So it can help with the gripey pains.

 I now have som infacol as Gripe water has been taken off the shelves apparently.

How much can I give a 3.7kg bunny and how often? I have never given it before.

She is also on metacam, zantac, metoclopromide and baytril.

I've written down, re Gripe Water 2ml/kg, repeat after one hour. I *think* it was advice JJ gave out a year or two ago.

Edit to add: A more reliable source got there two minutes ahead of me ;)
