those with lionheads

could you please post a picture ?
do they have any special requirements compared to other rabbits ?
i havent owned a lionhead before :D

Then I have two :D

They moult a lot, check that moult line

She always gets eyebrows when she gets a moult line, so she goes from looking very angry to looking very very surprised...

Fun to play with their hair though

Character wise, mine are both very different. Milly is an evil genius, active and will rip my hands off if she doesn't get her own way. Charlie on the other hand, would be perfectly happy if he never had to move to get anything and is thick as two short planks

after havign a brush
no special requirement needed really just a good brush once a week to remove cottons from mane :)

aww they are all so cute, he said that it scratches alot because his kids dont bother with him
looks like im in for a good time
well thats if he calls me back to arrange when to pick the bunny up

My Poppy

She requires more attention in the grooming dept than the others, but otherwise she is just the most lively little bag of fluff in the land :)

Toby!

He does need a bit more mane attention and a good brush. Luckily is wifey-bun does take good care of him too!

Gizmo  (lionhead lop foster bunny)

Poppy occasionally gets matts, as some of her hair is quite long. Sometimes I give her long hair a bit of a trim. It takes 3 years off her when she has her hair cut :D

Somewhat my speciality YAY!
Lionheads come in varying degree's of fluffy liony manes as shown here these boys were all brothers/cousins.

The two Himilayans/sealpoints and the second from the left are all 'double fuzzies', there fur is absoloutley gorgeous, but only ideal for indoor homes where they can be brushed or outdoor VERY observant homes.
Emris, here shows just how much like a sheep he looks  so much maintenance but his fur would always be covered in hay and debris within seconds..

Fable however has much shorter body fur, and just a very furry soft mane and fuzzy pants, that as you can see gets allsorts stuck into it.
But a quickbrush and all is well <3

These boys are still young so will be taking there time growing into their manes.
Here is Jayjay, my 2ish year old Lionhead cross, Jay takes alot of maintinence during the winter when his coat is thicker and brushing every other day to be sure there is no knotts.

Zuma and Pixel are Jay's sons, theyre again cross breeds but both have manes,
Zuma is a lion lop and has the features of a lionhead, with a Thin mane and botttom fluff, he is easier to maintain than his dad.

Pixel again a single maned crossbreed although unlike his brother he only has one uppy ear

as with all fuzzy bunnies, regular grooming and botty checks to be sure no straypoop gets caught on there fur, if your willing to put the time in to groom them then theyre wonderfull little additions.

I think lionheads can tolerate more protein too as they need it to produce the fur.

Here's mine...
