Jack's-Jane
Wise Old Thumper
Hal has been battling chronic pneumonia for almost 5 months. He has been on treatment all that time. Sadly now he is in 'end stage' He is not yet mouth breathing and I dont want him to get to that point, but he is really struggling to keep his blood oxygenated. Consequently his nose and lips are very blue/grey Hal is a Standard Rex and he used to weigh 2.8kg. He is now 2kg His respiratory rate and effort is permanently raised and any amount of exertion leaves him unable to lie down until he gets his breath back
It is so hard to make 'the decision' when the demeanour of the Rabbit defies their clinical symptoms. Hal is very bright within himself and is eating like a Horse. But a mouth breathing Rabbit is a very distressed Rabbit and I really dont want Hal to have to go through that.
C is coming over tomorrow afternoon to help Hal to The Bridge
