Is shredded paper an adequate substitute for straw at the bottom of the hutch?

I was wondering about using (clean) shredded paper at the bottom of my hutch as I have a shredder and I have been told by a reliable source that you can use this. I will definintely put more straw in and blankets in winter, but whilst we have this good weather, how much % wise shredded paper do you rabbit fans think I can use in the place of straw?

It depends if they're paper munchers or not! My lot would all eat it so I couldn't use it. Can you not just put sheets of newspaper down with a bit of hay on top? :wave:
