Very nervous - my vet has spoken to the specialist and described the growth etc - but tomorrow when they see it they will finally decide whether to order the canine melanoma vaccine for him or not . . .
Normal vets cant give the vaccine it has to be a specialist in veterinary oncology. Fortunately for us we have the huge specialist Animal Health Trust about 15 miles away in Newmarket, as if they do allow him to have it we have to go back every other week for 4 sessions.
Then on Friday morning he goes for his op. at his own usual vets to remove most of the growth - and maybe his eye - but she is hoping now to save the eye.
Its not a straight forward op. - and he has other issues with his ear abcsess etc - so its going to be a pretty nail biting 2 days .. .
