  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Rabbits weeing outside litter tray. Trio?

Didn't want to hijack another thread. Actually, think this might be more at homes behaviour if someone wants to move it? Thanks.

But 'someone' has been weeing in different corners of the room. Twice in one corner, twice in another, once under the table and I just caught Bailey weeing on a cushion they like to sit on, in the living room. They don't even do poo's in there normally!

She missed the cushion thankfully but I am a bit worried about it.

I think it's behaviour rather than health.

Binky is boss, but Bailey is often trying to be boss.

They aren't the closest of friends, well, I don't think so.

I often wonder if they'd be happier as a trio?

A Vet check is a good idea for anyBun who's litter tray habbits change. Whilst it may be behavioural it is always important to rule out a health problem first

As for the Trio question. Personally I am not a fan of Trios as more often than not one Bun will be an 'outsider'. But that is a rather general observation on my part, I think much would depend on the individual Rabbits involved.
