Lung Disorders??

Morning gang.
My little manny Barty is in for the snip today but the vet felt the need to go into detail re: rabbits and them dying under anaesthetic as they have lots of lung issues??? Have you heard of this??
I am not overly worried as he said Bart is young and strong but felt he should mention it.....

They have to legally mention the risks, but the healthier the rabbit and the better the vet, the less chance of issues. most likely any lung issue would be picked up before an anaesthetic anyway, but they wouldn't necessarily be able to pick up a heart issue or identify a bunny that might react badly to an anaesthetic.

Far more bunnies go through operations with no problems than those who have problems.
