Harley is here-abit concerned

After a stressful day yesterday Harley has arrived :D

So far I havent seen signs of agression, he will nip you when he wants to be put down, and also has the occassional foot stamp.

I am wondering what approach I should be taking, should I be taking a step back and letting him settle in, or trying to spend as much time with him as possible? It is clear to see that when you go to stroke him he runs into the corner and cowers :(

Ringing the vets today to see if I can get him booked in for a health check either tomorrow or Friday, plus a vaccination.

I am also concerned because since 8pm last night he appears to only have done one poo, and no wee's? His water bottle has gone down so he is definately drinking, and he is munching strands of hay. Also, he has had some pellets from his bowl.

Any thoughts/ideas r.u'ers?

In my eyes I personally always ensure they are physically healthy (i.e. eating, drinking, pooing, weeing, first and anything absolutely necessry, like, say dealing with a big clod of poo) before starting to work on the less vital issues, like maybe long nails, or poor socialising. He will have gone through so much stress it's a case of prioritising, in my eyes.

I think it's always a bit worrying when you get a new rabbit. You're wondering if they'll settle in or is there anything wrong with them. Sometimes it takes them a little while to decide where to toilet and the newness might have put him off so I would just let him get used to his new surroundings and ppeople. Give him a nice treat now annd then and he will soon be feeling happier.

Ok, he has been pooing and weeing fine today, and in one corner of the cage.

I have got him booked into the vets Friday morning for the combined vaccinations :)
