My bunny is still alive because of JacksJane

Snowberry

Wise Old Thumper
I think Jane could do with some moral support so feel free to add your bunnies to the list.

My Snowdrop is still alive because Jane gave me advise about her condition and encouraged me to seek a specialist.

Anyone else's bunny still here because of this special lady?

I'd be surprised if there are many people on here who haven't benefitted from Janes experience and knowledge in one way or another.

If any one appeals for help and I don't know, or haven't heard of it before, I always look out for Janes post! I just wish I could remember as much stuff as she does!

Aw what a lovely idea for a thread. Jane was one of the first people ever to help me on here. Thankfully mine haven't been through anything serious yet (touch wood) but I would always look out for her advice as she's so knowledgeable and helpful to everyone.

She encouraged me to go to my vet and mention heart problems with Dennis. It may not of prolonged his life by much but knowing we'd done everything we could to try and save him helped us come to terms with the inevitable xxx

Jane, when someone has a problem with their rabbit I always tell them to post on here, in the hope that you'll answer x

I know there are lots of knowledgeable people on here, so don't want them to think I don't value their support too, but whenever I ask for advice about Beau I always hope Jane will contribute. Or if there are two opposing views on what's right for a bun, I tend to give more weight to Jane's side of the argument.

But it's not just the bunny stuff. She has a lot of life experience and often supports people through really tough stuff, despite going through tough stuff herself.

I'm getting a bit teary to be honest. It's so frustrating to see such good in someone and know they will never be able to see it in themself.

This, whatever Jane is dealing with I know I can always count on her support.:love:

I joined RU as my bunny was very ill. I remember Jane and Sky-O's advice and stayed on the forum.

When Mr Bennett was ill recently Jane really helped my OH. I think he would have had a nervous breakdown otherwise, he really was very stressed.

When Molly had her hydro pyometra she stopped eating and the vet suggested syringe feeding her and gave her something (can't remember what). Jane said to check there wasn't an obstruction and when I went back to the vet he told me to continue what I was doing and I asked how he knew there was no obstruction. He did an x-ray and discovered the problem.

Molly would probably have died if she hadn't been spayed that day. She is now very much enjoying life in a quad.

I really value Jane's bunny knowledge.

This is a great thread. I think Jane is brilliant. She recommended Jason Burgess to me when I was unsatisfied with the treatment both Buckley and myself had received at our previous vet (he was a very rude vet, he didn't want to explain anything). Best thing that ever happened for Buckley because Jason is an amazing vet who always takes the time to talk through all of the options, explain everything, and discuss the relevant literature surrounding a treatment, etc.

Jane's advice is brilliant, and she has such a big heart.

xoxo

Jane is a wonderful lady who has done something truly evil

.... I NEED a Rex of my own after all the Morse piccies!

Jane, you're an amazing lady and I hope you never feel ostracised here, there's a lot of love here for ya.

Jane  Dudley had problems Christmas 2009 and Jane was right there on the end of PMs and with support all the way on his thread! I love my bunnies more than anything so for somebody, who I've never met, to selflessly help in they way that she did means the world to me and more than I know how to express! I'm so very very grateful for how she helped me and Duds and I am constantly amazed by her dedication to helping others and their bunnies despite the enormous difficulties she struggles with daily on a personal level and bunny related! AND let's not forget her wicked sense of humour, some of her posts have me in stitches :D

Dudley: I am still here because of auntie Jane, she's da best, I would give her my last Fenugreek Crunchie

Molly would have died in a lot of pain if it weren't for Janes advice to get her admitted to the vets and insist on pain relief as well as meds.
She's still here enjoying life two years later.
Thank you

What a lovely thread :D

Personally, Jane has always supported me both with my animals and my personal life.

Thank you for being there xxx

Oh

Thank you for your very kind words. I honestly only pass on what I have have learned over the years whilst caring for numerous Rabbits. I am and always will be on a big learning curve myself. I am in no way an 'expert'. I think having Asperger tendencies I am able to retain lots of information about my ' subjects of obsession'- RABBITS!!

Ask me to remember where I parked my car in Tesco Car Park and I wont have a clue !! Makes shopping fraught with challenges .........

I learn lots from people on here too. Not only about Rabbits, but life in general.

RU has been so supportive of me in many ways, I am very grateful

A lovely idea for a thread! Got to say Jane, without you I wouldn't be here probably as you really have helped me through the low times. You don't just save bunnies with your care and knowledge. xxxxxxxxxxx

Arohanui JacksJane.:love::love:
You always have concise, science based, well thought out advice to help out other buns & their owners.
I am always relieved to see your posts if I am a bit lost with something bun related.
You were the first to PM after the earthquake which was very touching too.
Thanks for being such a big part of RU i really appreciate it.

Jane is a really important part of the community here and this thread is fab. Thank you Jane!! And i hope you are ok! *Squishy virtual hugglies*
