Rabbit mobility cart / wheels for disabled rabbit urgently needed.... for stray bunny

Hi

Havent been on here for a while, but am in need of help.

I now work at a vets, we have had the sweetest stray lionhaired bunny handed into us, only problem is she is unable to use her back legs, although has feeling and can kick them she cant hop :( have done x-rays ect and it is though she may recover given time

I am therefore looking for a cart / wheels for her to help her recover and was wondering if anyone had a second hand one they would be willing to donate / loan to a good cause

I know they are not cheep and its a big ask but if anyone knows of any please do let me know

many thanks

Rachel and Trevor (yes she is called trevor! named her before i sexed her!)

I am not sure aboput mobility carts personally.

What treatmenty is bunny getting? My Inca had hind leg mobility problems due to EC, she coped well with Steroid Injections. Now she has regular acupuncture. This could possibly help this bunny.

She is being treated for EC and has been seen by our orthopedic specialist who thinks its some kind of spinal trauma and could possible get better, however it would take 3-4 months, she also thought the idea of a cart would be beneficial as it would encourage her to move in the right position.

Carts need to be made to order with the rabbits specific measurements otherwise it will do more harm than good :(

Poor bun. :(
You could look for someone that makes them for dogs online and ask if they could make one for a rabbit, but like Hugo's There said they may need to come over and measure the rabbit to make sure it fits.

Could you try acupuncture and physiotherapy?

Is this the bun whose owners you are looking for? :(

The problem with wheels is that the rabbit can be scared of them and try to run away from them, and they can do more harm than good. It's possible to give a bunny physio and care and for them to recover and be happy in the meantime.
