  • Please Note - Medical Advice

    Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

    You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

    We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

    Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

...and you should have seen the stuff that came out :shock:

VILE! How all that can be up a bunnies nose and in the URT i have no idea.

Wrong, just wrong! Worst we've seen for a while.

You see stuff come out? :shock:
Grim sneezes a lot as it all comes loose but I never get to see it, he wipes it away on his paws.

Give the grubby wee boy a hanky!!

Poor bunnies.**shakes head**.They go through so much.

I wouldn't 'poor Ginger' her - she actually LOVES being in the nebuliser. I can only tell that by the fact that she does DEAD BUNNY FLOPS in the storage box with a lid :lol:

She sits in there eating her hay and a few bits of herb and a couple of pellets to keep her calm and then sits there breathing it in and flops :love:

Biscuit dotes so badly, he sits at the nebuliser box and flops against it, on the side Ginger is :love:

Maybe cos the weathers been so changeable its caused it to be a little worse, but she's happy with it being out im sure, we had bunny 500's and a couple of binkies afterwards :)

Yep, she often sneezes quite forcefully while shes in there or just after as it all loosens up, 'orrible! But as Sky says, better out than in!

Awwwww, bless them both. :love::love:

Is it gross to wonder if it might be possible to have a photo of said 'stuff' next time?

:oops::oops:

Glad she doesn't mind going in there & loving the happy flops & Biccy doting image :love:

I was wondering how long it would take! When I opened the thread the first time I thought to myself 'someone is going to ask for a photo' I'm only surprised it took so long :lol::lol::lol:

How is this done? Can I do it myself or do I need vet apparatus /instruction ? Think V would benefit x

Without veterinary recommendation i wouldn't do it as it can be VERY stressful if not done corrrectly.

It's done using a human nebuliser piped into an underbed storage box.
