holding a 9 week old rabbit?

Hope i put this in right section!
i just want to confirm what my pet shop told me today!
they told me when holding the rabbit to make sure to hold him by having one hand under his back legs and same with top ones and kinda like nest him in that way, but to never hold by one hand under bottom and belly as there belly are very senstive when they are young and they could die from being held like that,
is this true? how would you hold a young rabbit? is it different from holding a adult rabbit?

Thanks a million!
Shane

Hi again Shane!
I don't really hold my rabbits too often because they don't enjoy it; but when I do pick them up the way that was suggested to you. I don't really know about any other ways of holding them or how safe or dangerous they are. If you just got your bunny today it might be a good idea to let him or her settle in for now and let your bun get used to its new home without being handled too much. You could start feeding him or her by hand in the morning so you gain your bunny's trust :)
Hope I'm helping. When I first got my bun I didn't know what to do so I know how you feel.

this morning found my mother holding the rabbit wrong!
she has 2 hands under his belly to pop him back into his cage!
could that harm the rabbit?! the women in pet shop said there stomach are very sensitive when very young and holding them wrong could kill them very easily!
just finished giving out to my mum for holding him wrong :p
but rabbit seems fine tho.
at what age do you fink i can stop being so worried about him being so sensitive? im too nervous to hold the rabbit after what she said to me in pet shop just in case like!
thanks again everyone for great tips :)

I have never picked any of the rabbits up by their tummy, I wouldn't like it so I doubt they would :)

They'll always be sensitive :D

Always support their feet/ back end :)
