Wont eat Pellets?

Vicki

Alpha Buck
Hi,
I am asking this question for a friend. They have a one year old female lop, she is a house bunny. She has never eaten pellets, they have tried her on all types etc but she wont eat them! I am wondering if maybe her teeth could be a problem but she has no trouble eating anything else? She eats her hay, veg and other treats no problem and also has 'normal' toilet?

Anyone had a bunnie refuse pellets alltogether before?

Thanks

Has she tried her with a variety of pellets?

I would get her teeth checked, as you said she may have some teeth issues.

If she's a good hay eater and eats a variety of veg / herbs, i'd very much say she doesn't need the pellets, however it is VERY odd for a healthy rabbit to refuse pellets, as they are like sweets to most rabbits.

I'd suggest a full health check by a veterinary rabbit specialist.
