Yesterday I was incredibly privalidge

Georgeypudding

Wise Old Thumper
to meet, and play with an 11 month old Andean Condor :shock: (amoungst other birds) It wont be too long until he is too big to be allowed to meet the public, and it is unlikely I'll ever find a place I can do this again :D

Here he is! Tiny the Condor!

:shock: No way! That's amazing :shock: I would love to do something with animals but the only college that does is Rodbaston (dunno how to spell it :?) and it's a while away from me for 8am starts :( so I did the closest thing I could to animal management ... childcare and education ;) :lol: Got my name down for volunteer work at a cat and dog rescue not far from me but they don't accept people until August time, so fingers crossed lol :D

That's amazing! :shock: Hard to believe such a huge bird can actually fly, lol.
A girl I work with is going out to Ecuador soon to work in conservation of Andean condors, I'm a little bit jealous (maybe a lot jealous).

What a beautiful bird! And look at that wing span :shock: And he's still only a baby :shock: :shock:

"Tiny" :lol: :lol:

Reminds me of when I used to have my own horse and on the yard there was a horse called Tiny. He was a Shire and the biggest horse stabled there - but he was a gentle giant, an absolute gent :love:

Does he get to fly? Is he trained?

Looks a bit scary to me!

He doesnt fly, because in the wild the adults push the babies out of the nest :shock::lol: theres no where high enough locally to do so :wave: he is trained yep, he is used in thier displays and was the best behaved birdy :wave:
Hes not at all scary, hes lovely and soft :love: I'll post more photos in a mo!
