Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Bald patch?

My lionhead buck has a bald patch behind his ears where his neck bit is. Its been like that for a couple of weeks and I would say its about 3/4cm big. Its not sore and I`m pretty sure it is not mites as his coat everwhere else is thick and healthy and I haven`t seen anything else. He lives with a female, they have quite a good bond, not in love but never seen them fight.

Could she of pulled some fur out, is he just going bald or is there something wrong?

Not sure, but that would be a typical area for a bit of overgrooming by another bun. Scarlet often has a bald bit there where Ori has been a little overzealous with his "bunny kisses"

My lionhead lop has always had this. It just looks like a mix of where his fur parts (he has a long mane) and Milly grooming him

My rabbit is a dutch female and has the same thing and also has a female lionhead as her company in her cage. other people told me to separate them and to get them neutered. How long has she had this? I've seen the lionhead bite fur out of the dutch so i don't know if that is the case for ur rabbits. I hope you find out what is wrong.:thumb:
