Are there any guides to see what breed your rabbit is?

Young Bun
Hiya =) So, I wondered if any of you guys would be able to direct me to a comprehensive list of rabbit breeds, preferably with photos?

I know at some point, I want to introduce a lop eared bunny into our little fluffy family, but I would also like to know what breed my current rabbit is.

If anyone is good with this kind of thing, the link below shows photos of my beautiful Belinda (or Bernard if she turns out to be a he  ) with her brothers and sisters... I'd really appreciate knowing her breed!

You'd probably be best posting a picture for us to have a look at, a lot of people see vaguely similar looking rabbits on breed photos and instantly thing that's what their rabbit is (eg. lots of people think they have English spots when they're infact lop cross breeds), and there are breeds like the Alaska (a regular shaped, plain black rabbit) which on a photo looks similar to many cross breeds

Most breed sites are American and American breeds differ a lot to ours and even have the same names as some of our rabbits but are completely different breeds, here's an english site with pictures - http://wildpro.twycrosszoo.org/s/0M...uniculus/Oryctolagus_cuniculus_domesticus.htm and here are breed standards - http://www.thebrc.org/standards.htm (unfortunately the BRC don't have pictures on anymore though)

ETA: Nevermind you have linked to pictures haha, they don't look to be a specific breed, the colours/markings you have there are very common in lops but the babies ears don't look like they're going to lop, they're most likely cross breeds, with bonding it really depends on the rabbits personalities, it doesn't matter what breed they are :)

ooo good to know :thumb: ... I've previously only had one rabbit... a giant buck who was quite happy with human affection. I was young and didn't really understand that buns like company  Thank you for the help! It's good to know that it's personality, not breed, which will effect bonding, 'cause I really have fallen in love with the adorable look of lop eared bunnies! If I can keep Belinda happy by pairing her with one, it'll be great!
