Fox seen in neighbours garden....

clarebear

Mama Doe
Our neighbour told us this eveing that she spotted a fox in her garden last night....she is planning to cover her bunny up tonight and we are thinking of doing the same.

Anyone got any advice about foxes.......it's got us kinda worried :(

If your hutches aren't completely secure on all sides you should bring them in. Foxes are very strong and can chew wood, they can lift heavy runs and get underneath, obviously they can dig.

This is our set up:

The run is very heavy and has a floor, it's so heavy it is on wheels and is hooked onto the hutch. It has small mesh wire stapled to the outside, and had a mesh roof and a plastic corrugated roof too ( all fixed down).

There are bolts on all the doors.

Do you think this is secure enough?

It's impossible to tell from the photo to be honest. It looks quite sturdy but I can't judge the weight or how securely they are joined to the hutch or how strong the staples you used on the mesh are :? You could always put more bricks on top

It is pretty sturdy, but the run is only hooked onto the hutch. The fact that the wire is only stapled to the outside worries me a little too :(
