How long until dissolvable stitches fall out?

I got my new rescue boys last week, one of them was neutered the week before I got him, and the vet used dissolvable stitches. It's now coming up to 2 weeks since his little op. I'm checking him everyday, it all looks to be healing nicely, with no red areas, and is nice and clean. I just wondered how long it usually takes for the stitches to come out.
Thanks!

They can take a very long time our dog had them after a knee op and they were all still in place at the 6 week check up and they nipped them out just like regular stitches x

Hi,

If its Vicryl sutures they use (my vets do) they take a couple of months to be completely absorbed into the system. As it has been two weeks since his op the stitches are probably already starting to dissolve nicely.

Hope that helps :)
