eating newspaper!

In the last week, Jessie has become obsessed with eating the newspaper from the bottom of the litter tray :roll: any ideas why, or how to stop it?

Has bun ever had dental issues? Just wondered if it's a pain reaction. Apparently it can be a sign that they aren't getting enough hay too?

Mine sometimes get "a project" & it's a nightmare getting them to stop:roll:

Nope, no previous dental problems- she's at the vets later this month for her vaccinations so will get them to check just in case.
She normally pulls the newspaper out from under the hay, so I don't think that's the problem :lol:

I know Doughnut became obsessed with lining paper when she wasn't eating lots of hay. The specialist said she was craving fibre. Now she's eating lots more hay she doesn't nibble the corners as much.

Could you change the newspaper for something else, just until she gets over it?
