  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Young Bun
hi  I am a new owner of two rabbits , I need to find a good vet in my area , just for a check over , jabs , neutering etc I live in Norwich , but am happy to travel a short distance . I have always used chapelfield vets for all my other pets , and i am hoping there is a vet there with good rabbit experience , but if there isn't can anyone reccomend any one else in the area ? many thanks .

All Creatures Healthcare in Horsford.
All the vets there are great but I see Faye. She is an absolutely amazing vet. She used to work in Yarmouth and I followed her up there, she has saved my rabbit's life so many times. All Creatures is an exotic specialist too so they have all the best equipment.

The other amazing vet is Aggie who is at Companion Care in the Hall Road Pets at Home. She has also saved my rabbit's life.

I cannot speak highly enough of either of them. They are wonderful. :D

I agree with Jenova, probably the best rabbit vets in Norfolk!

Both have treated my bunnies and have been brilliant.

thank you both very much , as a new rabbit owner ( throughly enjoying it ! ) this forum has been an absolute godsend as a wealth of help and info . :D

Hi there,

I use companion care based in Pets at Home on Hall Road, the staff are fantastic particulary Stefan, he got one of buns through a real bad case of stasis and has been great with all the others.

Rex and Co. have all been to Willow Vets opposite Hellesdon hospital, and they were great with free check ups after Rex was castrated.
