Question about Using Bark

DeevDee

Young Bun
I'm currently getting a section of my garden ready for the bunnies. We don't have a lawn, the garden is paved in parts, decked in parts and gravel in parts. The bunny proof part is half paved and half gravel. We rent so I don't want to go ripping anything up but I thought I might replace the gravel with something nicer to hop and run on. The area is always in the shade, so grass it out. I thought about using bark, like this http://www.podington.co.uk/j-arthur-bowers-bark-chips-100-ltr.html

But I'd be worried that the bunnies would eat it and become ill.

Any advice, as always, very much appreciated :)

I used to use bark and they were fine but it does become soiled and you'll find it impossible to pick out any bunny poos from amongst the bark. It could also be treated with chemicals, which is a risk.
