It was in October. Mango and Maia are not adopted; she comes from a pet shop long before I knew about rabbit rescues and he from a breeder - a "good" one though, considering how they breed for temperament and sell for pets all those who do not have perfect teeth, with a warning to prospective new owners.
I went back to Italy after spending 5 years in Germany, and of course, wherever I went, they HAD to come! So me and ex rented a big car so they could travel in their cage and not in a carrier. Mango was relaxed enough to flop and nom during stops, and Maia was stressed, but not so much as to have bad consequences except ONE uneaten caecal. It went very well! I think that's the last really good, lovely thing my ex did for me and for them. The cardboard box is nothing else but one of the boxes he regularly sends to me to give me back all the stuff I had left in our house in Frankfurt after he dumped me. Well, at leastthe rabbits are very happy to have it!
