For the animals which have endured harm or pain, abuse or neglect, and then been ignored,
unnoticed struggling and alone in silent sufferance.

No animal should have to endure harm or pain, abuse, or cruelty, or neglect.
However all too often, they do.
So most certainly, they should not be ignored and left helpless to struggle,
or even die in silent sufference.
Yet, all too often, they are.

BE THE CURE, NOT THE CAUSE!
 
This brings tears to my eyes, I don't think I'd be able to look at the website without really getting upset...
 
Dont worry too much about that, the FB page of S.T.A.R is very upbeat, and leans towards fun and stories of hope. However when I open up the Silent Tears fact page, that will have links and stories regarding the not so fortunate. However, particularly heart-rending case studies will have a pre-warning. It wont be all doom and gloom though, because so many animals have horrific starts and end up in the most wonderful homes imagineable. I wont sugar coat, but nether will I batter peoples heads with pure distress nether :)

I think it is an excellent pledge.

If I were to run a rescue, that is the sort of header I would have.
